The Surrey Infantry Collection
The Surrey Infantry Collection focuses on the history of Royal Surrey Regiment from 1661 to 1966. The collection includes objects from the Queen’s Royal Regiment (West Surrey) and the East Surrey Regiment.
To learn more about the history of the collection, please see the Queen’s Royal Surreys website.
Collections Work
The Surrey Infantry Collection moved to its new home in the PWRR and Queen’s Regiment Museum’s store in March 2024.
Contact the PWRR and Queen’s Museum through our contact us page if you have any enquiries about the collection.

New Displays
We are still committed to our work in Surrey. The Surrey Infantry Collection’s partnerships with the Lightbox in Woking and Guildford Museum will continue. Every six months, we’ll tell a new story about a soldier in the Surrey regiments in our case at Guildford Museum. This summer, we will also refresh our display in the Lightbox in Woking for the first time. This will allow us to share even more of the Regiment’s history, using objects which have never been out of our store before.
New Acquisitions
Do you have an object from the Royal Surrey Regiment or its forebears? Would you like to donate it to the Museum? Please use our Donate an Object form to tell us more about your object and its story.
We will no longer accept objects which are left at the Surrey History Centre in Woking into the collection.
